The paper will provide you with information about Auftragstaktik and it will explain with some examples how Auftragstaktik has proven its worth in history. Auftragstaktik is a command and control principle that emerged during the last 2 Centuries. For almost 100 years, Auftragstaktik is a part of German Armys leadership philosophy. The development of Auftragstaktik was during war times but it has proved its worth in battle. Auftragstaktik is not a procedure of giving instructions but a form of leadership that is connected to a certain image of men and women as Soldiers.
