Human Papillomavirus and Lung Cancer

Abstract

The major goals of the project include: Aim 1: Identify clonal HPV integrations in HIV+ lung cancer; and Aim 2: Identify signatures of HIV+/HPV+ lung cancer. The first step of this project is to obtain specimens (DNA/RNA or tissue) from sample providers (ACSR, an NIIH/NCI-supported publicly available sample repository). The ACSR repository lab is preparing our samples. We expect they will ship the samples to us soon. We will start the proposed sequencing experiment as soon as we receive the specimens. The PI has changed his home institution from University of Vermont to Florida Atlantic University in January 2021. We propose transfer of this grant/project to the new institution. There are no scientific changes regarding the grant transfer expect institution change. We will continue to work on the project as described in our proposal.
