Selected Weapons Costs from the President's 1995 Program

Abstract

The primary sources for the budget authority and number of weapons (quantities) are the Congressional Data Sheets (CDS) and the Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR), which the Department of Defense submitted to the Congress in February 1994; the source for each weapon is noted parenthetically after the weapon's name. The outlays were estimated using the Congressional Budget Office's outlay rates. Those rates are the same as the Administration's rates in most cases. All costs are in millions of current dollars. Details in the tables may not add to totals because of rounding.
