Accuracy of 3-Dimensional Printed Surgical Guides in Simulated Endodontic Microsurgery

Abstract

Targeted Endodontic Microsurgery (TEMS) utilizes3D printed surgical stents to guide trephine burs toperform simultaneous osteotomy and root endresection. Each TEMS guide has a port that guidesthe trephine bur to the intended surgical site. Thepurpose of this study is to compare the accuracy ofTEMS guides utilizing 3 different port lengths in asimulated model and determine the minimum portlength required to maintain accuracy. The nullhypothesis: All TEMS guides are equally accurateregardless of port length.
