Report on Pre-Selector Circuits

Abstract

Investigation of pre-selection circuits suitable for use preceding the first tube of a receiver and having for their purpose the protection of the first tube against overloads produced by the operation of near-by transmitters on frequencies near to the resonant frequency of the receiver. the additional purposes of a suitable pre-selector circuit are to improve the selectivity of the receiver and to improve the signal-to-external noise ratio.
