Alert Letter: Structural Damage at Educational Facility SR-06 in Baghlan Markazi District of Baghlan Province, Afghanistan

Abstract

I am writing to alert you to a safety matter that warrants action by your agency. A single building, boys' high school (referred to herein as SR-06)1 in Baghlan Markazi district of Baghlan province, Afghanistan that was rehabilitated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM)2 under a cooperative agreement with USAID is currently in use and poses a serious danger to students, teachers, and anyone else in or near the school building due to severe structural deterioration.3 In short, the building is in danger of collapsing.
