Abstract

Ballistics is that branch of the science of gunnery which treats of the motion of a projectile. Interior Ballistics treats of the motion within the bore of a gun and Exterior: Ballistics of the motion outside the gun. Ballistics is concerned with all that happens from the moment the primer is struck, until the moment when the projectile reaches the end of its trajectory.
