Army Writing Program

Abstract

Senior noncommissioned officers must read, write, am speak effectively. If they cannot, and overwhelming experience tells us that too many cannot, they will not function effectively on the battlefield. At the very foundation of warfighting is the ability to communicate the commander's orders. Senior noncommissioned officers are the link between commanders and soldiers and they must effectively communicate the commander's orders to subordinates. This lesson helps you to produce writing that is understandable in a single rapid reading and is free of errors in grammar, mechanics, and usage.
