Afghan National Police Main Road Security Company, Kunduz Province, Is behind Schedule and May Not Be Sustainable

Abstract

In February 2012, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Afghanistan Engineer District North (USACE-TAN) awarded a $1.7 million firm fixed-price contract to Bamic Global Construction Company to design and build facilities at the Afghan National Police(ANP) Main Road Security Company compound in Kunduz province. SIGARs inspection assessed whether construction was being completed in accordance with contract requirements and applicable construction standards, and whether any construction or design issues placed the facilitys long-term sustainability at risk.
