Solidification Studies (Part of Steel Casting Research Problem)

Abstract

The object of this report is to present the data obtained from a study made on the first phase of solidification and rates of skin formation in steel castings. In this phase data are presented on the solidification of a six inch sphere and a parallelepiped of corresponding volume but of a 50 greater surface area.
