Software Collaboration Between DOD Organizations: An Offline Transfer Method For Git Repositories

Abstract

(U) The Git version control system is essential for many software engineering workflows. In an effort to reduce costs and deliver relevant, high-quality software to the warfighter, organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) are embracing agile software development processes. This report builds on the Git bundling process by automating the generation and ingestion of bundle files. Automation reduces the potential for human error and improves the reliability of transfers.
