Tests of Stackpole, S.S. White and other Resistor Units

Abstract

Fifteen types of resistors made by nine different manufactures were subjected to test. Most of these units were 50,000 ohms, one megohm, and 5 megohns in resistance; some were 10,000 ohms, 100,000 ohms, 1/4 megohm, 1/2 megohm, and 2 megohms. Temperature coefficient of resistance, noise at various loads, and effect of salt water immersion were determines.
