Development and Advancement of Broad-Spectrum Respiratory Antivirals

Abstract

The overall goal of DABRA is to disrupt the paradigm for the treatment of respiratory viral infection through the development of broad-spectrum inhibitors. These antivirals will effectively treat infections caused by multiple respiratory viruses that impact military readiness, including influenza (A and B), coronaviruses, human rhinoviruses, respiratory syncytial virus, and Adenoviruses. In the longer term, we expect these efforts to provide critical proof-of-concept studies that will pave the way for development broad-spectrum therapies for other classes of (non-respiratory) viruses.
