Abstract

This report provides an overview of common terms used in the technical areas of air blast research and experimentation. The descriptions provided are based on extensive experience researching blast in military applications, with a focus on air blast from both fragmenting and non-fragmenting munitions in unconfined conditions (free air, surface burst, or near-surface burst).
