Test of Mycalex Insulating Material

Abstract

The object of the test was to determine if samples of Mycalex, submitted by the Mycalex Corp. of America, comply with specifications RE 13A 317F for grade F or G insulating material. The loss factor of the materials was determined on samples after they had been soaked in water for 96 hours. The moisture absorption was determined on broken fragments by weighing them before and after they had been immersed in water for 100 hours.
