Abstract

The Department of Defense (DoD) faces a complex set of challenges in the twenty-firstcentury. Many of these challenges, and associated opportunities, relate to developing andsustaining the infrastructure needed for mission resilience. The goal of this book is tosupport a conversation and collaboration across DoD and its partners about the use ofnatural infrastructure to support readiness and resilience.
