Wind Velocity and Wind Direction System

Abstract

The object of this test was to determine the suitability of the wind velocity and wind direction systems for the Naval service and its conformance with specifications, in so far as they were applicable. Upon receipt of the system, after completion of the wind tunnel tests by the Bureau of Standards, it was connected in accordance with the schematic wiring diagram shown on Plate 11. It was then tested as a propeller shaft revolution indicator system in so far as the specification were applicable.
