Report of Investigation of Phototube Characteristics

Abstract

The object of this investigation is to present, in a comprehensive and unified manner, first, the fundamental principles of photometry which pertain directly to the determination of phototube response under varying conditions of incident flux and impressed voltage, and secondly, a detailed description of the apparatus employed. This report, containing practically all the information required for the investigation of various types of phototubes, was accumulated through reference to widely scattered sources.
