The NAVSPASUR Satellite Motion Model

Abstract

This report is a description of the Naval Space Surveillance System (NAVSPASUR) Operations Center satellite motion model. It is largely based on the FORTRAN 4 subroutine PPT2 resident on the NAVSPASUR CYBER 760. No coding changes have been made in this subroutine since 1983. This report is intended as a functional description and technical reference for subroutine PPT2. It is hoped that the present report will elucidate the NAVSPASUR satellite motion model for the surveillance and orbital mechanics communities.
