Tests of Electrical Indicating Instruments Manufactured by Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation

Abstract

Tests were conducted on all four instruments in order to determine compliance with reference (a) and (d). Specifically, tests were conducted to determine the following: (a) Check of construction of the instrument; general workmanship quality of material used and general adaptability to Naval Aircraft use (b) Dimensions (c) Initial accuracy (d) Responsiveness (e) Damping factor (f) Power consumption (g) Effects of sustained overload (h) Effects of temperature and humidity variation (i) Effects of frequency variation (j) Effects of vibration (k) Dielectric strength and insulation resistance (l) Means of adjustment to accuracy.
