Theoretical Studies of Core-Shell Nanoclusters

Abstract

The overall objective of this project is to streamline the experimental synthesis and characterization of energetic core-shell and metallic nanoclusters via robust modeling and simulation of these materials, in collaboration with AFOSR-sponsored collaborators. Specific collaborative efforts during this project include the helium droplet experiments in AFRL/RW and the metallic nanoparticle studies at the University of Utah.
