DoD Contracted Services: Long-Standing Issues Remain about Using Inventory for Management Decisions

Abstract

GAO found that the Department of Defense (DOD) used the same sources a sit did in prior years to collect data and create an inventory of fiscal year 2016 contracted services, which is intended, in part, to help DOD make more strategic workforce decisions and better align resources.
