Test on Motors, Indicator, Navy Type "N"

Abstract

The sample indicator-motors were connected to a type "A" transmitter generator and set up at this laboratory in suitable test circuits where their performance was carefully observed for compliance with the requirements. Following a 500-hour endurance test, an inspection of the sample motors was made to determine compliance in the matter of materials, design, and workmanship. Several additional tests were made to determine the practicability of positioning one or two type "N" indicator-motors by one type "N" indicator-motor.
