Sixth Partial Report on Light Armor: The Dynamics of Armor Penetration by Small Projectiles

Abstract

Equipment has been built and successfully operated which permits a detailed study of the dynamics of penetration. From measurements made with the apparatus, an experimentally verified description of what occurs during a single armor penetration can be found that will be of importance to all who are interested in manufacture and use of armor and to all who are attempting to improve armor.
