Type XAO and XAQ Superfrequency Transmitting Equipment

Abstract

This report will give a description of the two variable frequency line controlled transmitters developed at this laboratory. A discussion of the properties of transmission lines at ultra high frequencies is included. The two transmitters are continuously variable in frequency; one from 132 to 156 megacycles: the other from 132 to 200 megacycles. The lowest figure on frequency stability attained was 0.012%. The highest was 0.022%.
