Study of the MSA Hydrogen Eliminator V to Determine Its Operating Characteristics

Abstract

The problem was to study the MSA Hydrogen Eliminator V to determine its operating characteristics and to establish an experimental basis for oxygen replenishment during its use aboard submarines. The MSA Hydrogen Eliminator V was operated for a total of 367 hours under various conditions at this Laboratory. The thermostat failed near the end of this time but no other depreciation was evident.
