Harmful Interpersonal Behaviors in the Department of the Air Force Informing Prevention and Response

Abstract

The U.S. Department of the Air Force (DAF) is committed to helping its members thrive by enhancing well-being and eliminating harmful behaviors, particularly those affecting interpersonal interactions and relationships (Interpersonal Violence Task Force, 2021). These behaviors include sexual assault, sexual harassment, racial/ethnic harassment and discrimination, hazing, bullying, and domestic abuse.1 This Perspective provides a description of the scope of this collection of harmful interpersonal behaviors and a brief overview of current DAF prevention strategies.
