OVERHEAD COSTS: Unallowable and Questionable Costs Charged by Government Contractors

Abstract

To illustrate the types of problems we have found, I would like to focus my comments today on our recent work at eight defense contractors. The eight contractors included (1) six small contractors with annual government sales that ranged from $11million to $107 million and (2) two major contractors each with annual government sales that exceeded $1 billion.
