Abstract

I am pleased to have this opportunity to appear before the Committee on behalf of the General Accounting Office to discuss (1) cost growth in weapon systems, (2) the Armys potential weapon system acquisition affordability problem, and (3) the Department of Defenses recent initiatives to improve its management of weapon system acquisition programs.
