Mentoring Moment: Research Fundamentals

Abstract

There are 5 main processes run by 5 different offices that all follow different (but usually intersecting) rules/regulations/policies in most DHA research: Funding - run most often by the Clinical Investigation Program ( CIP); Human Subjects Protection - run by what is often referred to as the "IRB"; Data Sharing Agreements/Privacy/HIP AA - run by the Privacy Office; Surveys/ Questionnaires - run by the Information Management Control Officer (IMCO); Partner Agreements ( CRADAs/MT As) - run by the Technology Transfer Office.
