Automated Information Systems: Schedule Delays and Cost Overruns Plague DOD Systems

Abstract

Since September 1988, we provided your Committee six reports on automated information systems being developed by the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Defense Logistics Agency. The reports, which contained information on eight systems, are listed on the last page of this report. In discussions with your office during February 1989, we were asked to provide a report highlighting the information contained in the six reports.
