WIAMan Biomechanics Data Management Plan Version 2.0

Abstract

The Warrior Injury Assessment Manikin (WIAMan) Biomechanics Product Team (BIO PT) performers, led by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL), are collecting an immense and diverse dataset from research conducted to support development of the WIAMan system to provide biofidelity and skeletal injury risk assessment capability for vertical loading conditions associated with underbody blast conditions. This comprehensive dataset will prove invaluable in efforts to further our understanding of human injury due to vertical loading. A robust method is required for the consistent collection and, ultimately, archive of all BIO PT performer test data such that future analysts can readily access and utilize the full wealth of data. This report describes the data structure and layout of the WIAMan Biomechanics data, including the file formats, organization, and hierarchy.
