Study of Certain Supply Management Aspects of the Military Aid Program for the Republic of China (Taiwan)

Abstract

The General Accounting Office made a study of certain supply management aspects of the military aid program for the Republic of China (Taiwan). We reviewed:--a number of line item repair parts, stocked by the Chinese Army, to ascertain whether excess items were being made available for redistribution to other aid recipient countries or for disposal through scrap sales, and--selected Chinese requisitions for excess U.S. repair parts to determine the validity of the requirements. The results of our examination into these areas are presented below.
