Status Of Advanced Attack Helicopter Program

Abstract

The Advanced Attack Helicopter is being developed to defeat wide range of targets including tanks and other armored vehicles. The Army plans to buy 536 helicopters for about $6.6 million each. During the past year, the program has changed, increasing costs. The primary change was the decision to use the Hellfire missile, which is also being developed.
