DOD CONTRACTING: Extent and Impact of Contract Bundling Is Unknown

Abstract

DOD'S centralized contracting data does not identify contracts that have been bundled. DOD advised us it could not provide any historical data from which we could assess the extent and impact of bundling. However, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has begun to accumulate data on the current extent of contract bundling at locations where it has assigned resident representatives, but only about half of DOD'S contract dollars are obligated at these locations.
