The Department of Defense Should Increase Efforts to Implement Vertical Controls Over Military Stock Funds

Abstract

While the Department of Defense has made some progress in implementing centralized or vertical controls over military stock funds, the Department's efforts to coordinate implementation of vertical controls within and among the services have not been adequate. Therefore, improvements in stock fund operations which would result from the implementation of vertical management are being delayed
