Grist for the Sausage Mill: How USASOC Leaders Can Use the PPBE Process to Improve Resourcing Decisions

Abstract

Commanders can improve their Operations and Maintenance (O and M) resourcing and programing decisions at tactical-level United States Army Special Operations Command Headquarters with limited Resource Manager support by reducing the separation between Planning/Programming and Budget/Execution decisions, implementing programmatic and year-of-execution resolution methods, and improving communication strategies for resourcing requirements.
