Abstract

Today's economic, political, and military environments are very challenging and require effective leadership. Good leadership is essential for the governance of society; without good leaders, a society would fail. There are many lessons on leadership that can be learned from George Washington that have validity and currency today. The principles and virtues that appealed to and inspired Washington's men during the French and Indian and American Revolutionary Wars can be studied and instilled in today's leaders to become even more effective.
