Jihad: Establishing an Effective US Strategy to Combat Terror Online

Abstract

This paper highlights the failure of the United States to develop an effective strategy to successfully counter and disrupt extremist use of social media as a pathway to recruit, radicalize, and conduct attack planning, and then provides a basic interim military strategy that can fill the gap until a broader, viable United States government and international policy can be established that effectively disrupts extremist use of social media.
