Promoting Strategic Security through Diplomacy, Democracy, and Nation-Building: The United States National Guard State Partnership Program
Abstract
The United States DoD transformed GCC M2M programs into the National Guard SPP. The SPP is a bilateral effort that promotes whole of nation sharing between American states and nations burdened with challenges that may threaten their sovereignty and regional security. The SPP supports many interagency international programs and goals as well as partner nation goals and missions. Lastly, the SPP is Americas strategic nation-building initiative that forms lasting relationships, fosters regional security, reinforces diplomacy, and supports democratic values in a fiscally constrained environment.
