Combined Arms Starts before the First Shot

Abstract

The author proposes a concept for the application of human-machine collaboration that will benefit information warfare (IW)planners, subject matter experts and tactical practitioners and enable MAGTFs to conduct IW successfully against a more experienced and less restrained adversary. The right mix of may assist in creating a cohesive and synergistic approach to conducting IW at the MAGTF-level and below. Should this come to pass, the Marine Corps will be capable of deploying MAGTFs that conduct IW by incorporating people and capabilities on the immediate battlefield, in the theater and at home station during all phases of an operation.
