Preparing for the Future Operating Environment by Taming the Military-Industrial Complex

Abstract

The US Department of Defense (DoD) can maintain the capabilities needed for the future operating environment (FOE) by constructing a military focusing on verified requirements using the principles of special operations forces (SOF) as a guide, thereby lowering the high costs associated with an industrialized military.
