Russian Strategy for Battling Western Dominance: Implementing a Polycentric World and Loosening a Western Stranglehold

Abstract

This paper's purpose is to explain Russian NGW, show recent examples and future targets, and theorize a worst case scenario for the US with recommendations. Russia's NGW strategy poses an active threat to neighbors (ex. former eastern bloc states) and the US led world order. NGW tactics are similar to Soviet tactics stripped of ideological, but maintain their geopolitical aspiration. The US must remember Russian NGW tactics, actively limit their effectiveness, and promote government transparency with Western friendly media alternatives to prevent a new polycentric world order from rising.
