Technology Futures: The US Marine Corps Confronts the Multi-Domain Battlefield

Abstract

The US Marine Corps is not fully prepared for the top four rapidly evolving technology trends and their impact on the future operating environment. The top four technology trends today are the internet of things, artificial intelligence, human enhancement and augmentation, and additive manufacturing. Recent technological advancements in these areas have been significant and are worth considerable attention for their application and employment on the multi-domain battlefield of the future.
