USMC Manpower: Setting Conditions for Manpower Officer Development for the Future

Abstract

With such an increased focus on developing the Marine Corps' capability to manage talent and granting Commander's access to high-quality human capital, the Corps must ensure that it provided its units with well-trained and educated manpower management specialists who are employed as the true professional bridge between the group and HQMC. In support of this, the Corps must also codify administrative standards by publishing a corresponding doctrine and establishing an O-6/Colonel-led advocacy branch at the Service level to oversee these initiatives.
