A Classical Delphi Study: An Analysis of the Multi-Capable Airmen (MCA) Concept for Air Transportation Operations

Abstract

The USAF Air Transportation career field is a critical element in the overarching capability of the logistics supply chain. Throughout history, the military supply chain has evolved in order to meet combatant commanders needs and sustain the force in an ever changing environment. This research examines specific skills and abilities of Aerial Port members. Expert Air Transportation Logisticians from across the U.S. were queried to gather and analyze data for this research. Through a qualitative process, this study follows a Classic Delphi Study approach and through content analysis and expert consensus yields the ideal jobs, duties and tasks that should be included in the creation of training programs for the 2T2 community.
