Organizational Culture and Climate: Crucial to a Unit's Success

Abstract

Commanders must understand that organizational culture and climate influence a units effectiveness and the professional and ethical behavior of its members, which are essential to meet the current and future operational challenges. Describing and defining both concepts will aid leaders as they prepare for and command in garrison and in combat - this will have an impact at all levels of command, yet the most, at the battalion level.
