Information Networks in the Iranian Revolution

Abstract

Between 1977 and 1979 there were multiple, societal groups in Iran that coalesced to various degrees, and had cascading effects on the information networks that magnified the extent to which revolutionary rhetoric catapulted Iranians to revolutionary regime change. The intelligentsia, those who worked in the bazaars, and religious leaders formed information networks that, and those networks had the most significant influence on the course of the Iranian Revolution.
