Evolution of Warfare: Canonizing Science to Evolve the Game

Abstract

Although the concepts of punctuated equilibrium, international threat analysis, and game theory remain staples of academic thought, they have yet to be knit into a single framework for military leaders to apply to warfare. This paper approaches the construction of such a framework much like a scientist would test and validate a hypothesis.
