The King of Battle Versus the God of War: Reforming the Division Artillery to Defeat Peer Competitors and Win in Large Scale Ground Combat Operations

Abstract

Examination of current Russian maneuver brigades and Battalion Tactical Groups and their artillery support formations. This paper analyzes these formations and their employment on current battlefields to assess how to improve US Army Division Artillery formations with respect to organization, equipment, and capabilities.
